The MOD and Metrix strongly appreciates the importance of maintaining and enhancing the vitality of the local community and economy as an integral part of the creation of the Defence Technical College (DTC).

The DTC will create many new jobs, as well as providing significant opportunities for local suppliers during the construction and operational phases.

Jobs created by the DTC, together with the trainees attending, will result in a multi-million pound annual boost to the local economy in South Wales. Once completed, the DTC will enhance South Wales’ reputation as a knowledge economy centre, thereby helping to attract further inward investment into the area.
